Different Types Of Packaging For Different Types Of Industry
Packaging is very essential to every and to any type of
industry. Whether you’re in the
food business, clothes manufacturing or you’re in the technology industry,
packaging is crucial. It protects
the product from any potential damage that will deem the product useless. Thus a good packaging system is a
must.
Packaging is
sometimes neglected by companies that are not aware of the benefits and
importance of ensuring that the product is received in one piece and not in
pieces. But packaging is not just
limited to the type used. Having a
high quality and dependable packaging system like a taping machine will ensure
that product will reach the end of the line in tact.Tuesday, September 4, 2012
Impact Of Product Packaging In the Marketing World
So how does packaging impact the buying behavior of the
market? Most consumers would buy
the product once they see how it is packaged. Some would have an idea of what’s inside the box but they
wont care until they see the packaging.
Packaging gives them assurance that indeed what’s inside the box is
worth every penny. Although it may
vary from person to person depending on his buying capacity and preference,
packaging is still part and parcel of the whole product. But to prove the point that packaging
indeed influences buying behavior of a consumer, imagine two identical products
with the same amount placed inside two individual boxes. One box is just plain white cardboard
while the other box would have more colors and a more attractive design. Guess which box would sell? Yes, the second box would definitely
sell, hence packaging can influence the behavior of the buyer.Monday, August 20, 2012

Evolution Of Packaging
Just like the latest iPhone 4 and the iPad 3, packaging is fast changing. From the conventional bottles and cans, we are now in the era of plastics and film pouches. But with the ever-growing concern for the environment and the increasing need to save on costs, packaging will definitely evolve at a much faster rate.
Let us look at the
evolution of packaging so we can better appreciate where it is taking us right
now. Check out the pictures
showing the old packaging of Coca-Cola Products compared with the latest look
of their sodas. They started with
bottles and cartons and now they came up with PET bottles and easy open
cans. They still have bottles
though but the latest ones are already dominating the market. Why? For the reason that it is easier to store and to handle and
for the consumer, it is easy to use and to open. But when they are transporting these Coca-Cola products, one
thing hasn’t changed. They still use corrugated boxes, sealed and taped by using a taping machine and other packaging systems
that they may have.
Look at the image on your left. That is a picture of how you buy vegetables in the
market. You just get it directly
from the basket. Now you can buy
these same vegetables in vacuum packs.
Some of these vegetables can be bought peeled and packed already. The image on your right shows you how
you can buy those fruits and vegetables in today’s market. They are grouped by kind and vacuum
packed to seal its freshness.
Ketchup has been around
for centuries and we have seen its evolution in terms of packaging. It started with using bottles and now
it’s already in sachets, packets and the newest is the dip and squeeze type of
packaging. We use this
tomato-based sauce almost everyday and as a consumer we want flexibility and
convenience.Tuesday, July 17, 2012

Humorous and Creative Ideas for Advertising And Packaging

serious? Sometimes you need to add
humor to make it more appealing and exciting. Why don’t you try adding a little fun in your packaging?Monday, June 4, 2012
Significance Of Packaging
An excellent packaging
system will also be beneficial in optimizing and maximizing a company’s
operational efficiency. A top-grade
taping machine combined with a high quality case erector and a durable
carton sealing tape will do just that.
Going back to the significance of packaging, another
important marketing benefit of product packaging is branding. It’s one way for a company to maintain
consistency in their logo, color, product character and tag lines. It plays a significant role in helping
the consumer recognize and remember not only the product but most importantly,
the company. Remember that in this
age of multimedia and mass communication, visuals are very powerful compared to
audio communication.Wednesday, February 16, 2011
Loading a Packing Tape Dispenser
1. Over the dispenser reel, place the roll of packing tape in such a way that it will unwind in a counter-clockwise manner.
2. Hold the front tab of the packing tape roll, pulling it at a downward angle through the slot between the dispenser roller and shield. There are also tape dispensers that have a shield to which you can pull down the tape and slide it through. Remember that the sticky side of the packing tape should always face downwards.3. In an upward motion, simply pull the front tab of the tape so that the dispenser blade can cut through the packing tape. The blades of packing tape dispensers are sharp enough to cut through your skin so be careful in handling such packaging tools to avoid cuts and bruises.
4. To be sure that the packing tape dispenser functions perfectly, test it by unrolling just a small amount of tape and cutting it with the dispenser’s blade.
5. If the packing tape dispenser is not tight enough, adjust it by tightening the tension adjuster and set the unwinding feature at a comfortable and smooth level.
When handling such tools, always be careful and make sure that you are comfortable handling the packing tape dispenser, or any other packaging tool for that matter. BestPack.com is an online manufacturer of packaging equipment, such as carton sealers, and also offers nationally-acclaimed packing tapes ideal for the packaging industry.

Some Tips to Ensure Safety in the Packaging Workplace
The demand for more flexible case sealers and packaging machines arose from shorter innovation cycles and increased pressure from the competition. This resulted in the decrease of batch build and multi-pack runs. Because of this, case sealers are now required to produce multiple packaging variations from the same machine. For example, BestPack’s MSDBF Pack/Seal Total System is equipped with top/bottom sealers, extended sidedrive systems, and top and bottom horn flaps for easier case sealing. By not having to buy additional accessories and saving on case sealer with such flexibility, clients may worry that this may compromise quality and safety. However, this is certainly not the case.
Keep in mind that all case sealers being manufactured are required to pass industry standards. Case sealers and other packaging equipment machines also require multiple axis controllers and other motion control products for safety processes to run easily and quickly. Deployed properly, clients can expect an increase in production while achieving the required flexibility their packaging needs, and still ensure the safety of case sealer operators.
When considering the safety of adding motion products to case sealers, one should consider synchronization of decentralized drives, management of dynamic drives, camshafts for additional functions, manufacturing at a consistent quality but with low cost, quick installation and flexibility, and automatic adjustment for variations in products. All of these are part of a complete automation solution.
The most essential thing to remember is that proven motion solutions are available that can meet the demands of the industry when it comes to flexible and safe packaging machinery.

Going Green with Carton Sealers and other Packaging Equipment
Everyone is alarmed at the rate of our environment’s disintegration. Major businesses and big companies can now play their part in helping to save the environment by going green on packaging equipment such as carton sealers, case erectors, palletizers, and shrink wrappers. However, there are three major players that influences the environmental standards businesses must adhere to.
The consumers play a major role in convincing businesses to go green on their carton sealers. Nowadays, clients prefer eco-friendly products for all their items. Yes, clients want efficient and low-cost packaging supplies but they are also environment-conscious.
As the urgency to save the planet increases, most packaging equipment suppliers turn eco-friendly. Carton boxes made out of recycled materials are a plus for businesses. Additionally, biodegradable materials help conserve the environment because unlike plastic, these can be re-used and help lessen pollution.
The government, on the other hand, sets rules and regulations that carton sealers manufacturers must adhere to. Companies that do not have certain harmful substances on their products are considered RoHS or Restriction on Hazardous Substances-compliant. When searching for packaging equipment suppliers, make sure that they are RoHS compliant. Not only are you helping save the environment, but you’re supporting a good cause by helping others be aware of the situation.
